Wright Brothers National Memorial
On December 17, 1903, two brothers from Ohio changed the world forever on this hill in Kill Devil Hills. Wright Brothers National Memorial is one of the OBX's three National Parks and it delivers — the newly renovated visitor center walks you through Orville and Wilbur's journey with hands-on exhibits, a reproduction of the 1903 Wright Flyer, and a 16-screen video wall. Open daily 9am-5pm, pets welcome on leash. One of those places that actually lives up to the hype.
