Springer's Point

A 132-acre maritime forest preserve on Ocracoke Island, open to the public since 2006 and free to visit. Winding trails through ancient live oaks lead to a soundfront beach overlooking Teach's Hole — the very spot where Blackbeard was finally cornered and killed in 1718. One of the most historically significant and naturally beautiful spots on the entire OBX. No parking, no motorized vehicles — arrive on foot or by bike.
