Chicamacomico Life-Saving Station
The Chicamacomico Life-Saving Station in Rodanthe is one of the most historically significant sites on the entire OBX — a beautifully preserved complex honoring the brave men of the U.S. Life-Saving Service who rescued shipwreck survivors along the Outer Banks for 44 years. The museum tells their story through artifacts, exhibits, and living history demonstrations. Every dollar of admission goes directly to preservation. A genuinely moving and underrated OBX experience.
