Cape Point
The legendary surf fishing destination on the East Coast — Cape Point is where the Gulf Stream and Labrador Current collide, creating conditions that attract tarpon, drum, cobia, Spanish mackerel, bluefish, and dozens more species year-round. 4WD required, beach driving permit needed. Non-anglers will find world-class shelling on South Beach and, in winter, one of the only oceanfront sunsets on the entire East Coast. A required stop on any Hatteras Island visit.
