Awful Arthur's Oyster Bar
A genuine OBX landmark since 1984, Awful Arthur's was the first authentic oyster bar on the Outer Banks and has been a Kill Devil Hills institution ever since. The copper-topped oyster bar is the centerpiece, with oysters, clams, and shrimp being prepared right in front of you. Many staff members have worked here for 20+ years, which shows in the consistency and the atmosphere. Casual, welcoming, and genuinely community-rooted.
