Corolla

Avon
The main commercial hub of Hatteras Island, Avon has the best selection of restaurants, shops, and services south of Nags Head — and sits right next to the Canadian Hole, one of the premier windsurfing and kiteboarding spots in the world.
Buxton
Home to the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse — the tallest brick lighthouse in America — Buxton sits at the elbow of the Outer Banks where the island bends west.
Frisco
A quiet, woodsy stretch of Hatteras Island between Buxton and Hatteras Village, Frisco has an unhurried character and a handful of gems worth finding.

Hatteras Village sits at the southern tip of Hatteras Island, where the ferry departs for Ocracoke.
Ocracoke
Only accessible by ferry, Ocracoke is the most remote and arguably the most beautiful town on the OBX.
